Armed Forces Life insurance is still possible for the majority of military personnel at standard rates, the exception being those posted to politically sensitive areas e.g. Iraq, Angola and other dangerous places. If your job involves hazardous activities e.g. Flying jets, your premium could be loaded by an insurance company, this can however be claimed back from the M.O.D.
